Your Mazda's Mass Flow Sensor determines the mass flow rate of air that enters the fuel-injected internal combustion engine. The air mass information is necessary for your Mazda's Engine Control Unit (ECU) to correctly balance and deliver the correct amount of fuel to the engine. When there is a problem with the Air Flow Sensor, symptoms often include: Engine having problems starting, Engine Stalling, Hesitation and Jerking during Acceleration, Excessively Rich or lean Idling.
